The International Coach Federation defines coaching as…

partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment. Coaches honor the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach’s responsibility is to:

  • Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve

  • Encourage client self-discovery

  • Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies

  • Hold the client responsible and accountable

  • This process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

Coaching is about…

you as a whole person: your values and goals, personal and professional.  I work with highly motivated individuals like you to develop their own definition of success. You are in the driver’s seat, and I am here to support and challenge you through the discovery process.  Coaching is about creating positive change where you feel you need it most.

Unlike therapy’s focus on resolving issues in your past and healing from trauma, coaching is focused on your present situation and preferred future. Unlike mentoring, with a focus on knowledge sharing, coaching is about creating awareness and taking small actions that add up to big results.
